Samsung launches Galaxy Watch8 and Galaxy Watch8 Classic smartwatches: Features, availability and more

Samsung has launched its new Galaxy Watch8 and Galaxy Watch8 Classic smartwatches as part of its latest wearable lineup. The new watches are designed to offer improved health tracking, personalized fitness insights, and easier interaction through AI tools. Samsung says this is its thinnest and most comfortable watch series to date, aiming to provide round-the-clock wellness support.


The Galaxy Watch8 series is also the first to come with Gemini, Google’s AI assistant, built in. It supports voice commands and can manage multiple tasks like finding places or starting workouts using natural speech. The new models also feature an upgraded design with a cushion-like shape for better fit and improved sensor performance. Samsung has reworked the internal structure to make the Galaxy Watch8 about 11% thinner than the previous generation.

The Galaxy Watch8 and Watch8 Classic are now available for pre-order in select markets. General availability will begin on July 25.
