Dawn Fletcher (played by Olivia Bromley since 2018) has found herself at the centre of growing online fury, with Emmerdale viewers branding her "unbearable" and questioning why she's still on the show at all. The character who is the estranged wife of Billy Fletcher (Jay Kontzle) and mum to Lucas Taylor (Noah Ryan Aspinall) and baby Evan Fletcher (Malachi McKenzie) has long had a complicated past. She's also the special guardian of Clemmie Reed (Mabel Addison), Lucas' half-sister. But fans say enough is enough.
With Dawn's recent behaviour, including her ongoing affair with Joe Tate (Ned Porteous), sparking outrage, many say they've simply had it. One viewer wrote bluntly: "God, she is so unbearable. And her 'I'm just looking out for the kids' rubbish should be her new catchphrase. Her logic makes zero sense!"

Another fan fumed: "Billy was right to question whether or not she cares about her kids! Clemmie was terrified of Joe - she even called social services to get away from him. But that doesn't stop Dawn lusting after him. Unbelievable!"
Some have even gone so far as to switch off her scenes when they come on, as they admitted: "I skip EVERY SCENE WITH DAWN. Do not understand why she is on this show still..."
On Reddit, a furious fan sparked a storm of agreement with the post: "OH MY GOD WRITE DAWN OUT PLEASE!!!!!" Dozens piled on, with one commenting: "That's it really. Just that. Nothing more."
Another shared a theory trying to make sense of her actions: "At this point it feels like the only 'save' is if she's covering for Clemmie somehow. But even then, it falls flat."
Some viewers even admitted they used to like her character until now.
"She used to be one of my favourites," one soap fan lamented. "But I can't stand her now. Just as shameless as her dad!"
On the Tuesday's (8 July) episode of the soap, it showed Dawn's reaction after she discovered that Kim Tate (Claire King) had found a new romantic partner.
The episode of the ITV soap saw Dawn and Kim head for lunch. Kim shared that she had "found somebody" after she touched upon the "thrills" of a new relationship.
Emmerdale airs on weeknights at 7.30pm on ITV and ITVX.
