Police have launched an investigation into the deaths of two women after their bodies were found at a home in a sleepy Hampshire village. The women, one in her 70s and the other in her 80s, were discovered at an address in Warsash on Friday afternoon. Officers were called to the Church Road property over concerns for welfare, and discovered the bodies just after 12.30pm.
Hampshire Police has now begun an investigation into the "circumstances" of their deaths, and urged anyone with concerns to speak to officers. It said: "We were called shortly after 12:23pm on November 7 to an address on Church Road, Warsash, following a concern for welfare.
"An investigation is underway to establish the exact circumstances of their deaths.
"There will continue to be an increased police presence in the area whilst officers carry out enquiries.
"If anyone has any concerns please speak to a uniformed officer."
