Mary Poppins star Dick Van Dyke, 99, sang a special rendition of Happy Birthday for his wife of 13 years, Arlene Silver, as they marked her 54th birthday together before he made a devastating end of life admission. "We've been married 13 years," Dick shared in a video captured from the event. "And in two and a half months, I'm gonna be 100 years old. I hope!" The veteran actor added: "I've never seen a more beautiful woman in my life than this one." The Chitty Bang Bang star also reminisced about the first time he met Arlene when he was backstage at the SAG Awards in 2006.

He shared: "She walked by and without even thinking, I jumped up and said, 'Hi, I'm Dick.' I found out she was a makeup lady, hired her, and now we've been married 13 years."
The star, who has been acting for more than 60 years, concluded: "I couldn't be happier. Happy birthday, sweetheart."
His beloved wife was clearly touched by his grand gesture and sweet words, thanking Dick for coming to her party and making it so special.
The pair started dating back in 2009, not long after his partner, Michelle Triola, died after a battle with pancreatic cancer.
While they have a 46-year age gap, the pair have previously said in interviews they "get along so well" and admitted "everybody said it wouldn't work" during a chat with People in April.
Dick told Entertainment Tonight: "I was fortunate that I didn't grow up", and knew he and Arlene were "meant to be".
Arlene is a makeup artist by trade who has worked in the industry for decades - but she has tried to remain out of the spotlight, unlike her husband.
She told Huffington Post in recent years about her first encounter with Dick, explaining: "I remember seeing Dick at the catering table with his bow tie and his big smile. Right when I sat down, he was sitting next to me. He said, 'Hi, I'm Dick.' The first thing I asked him was, 'Weren't you in Mary Poppins?' I wasn't sure."
She expanded: "I knew who he was, but I wasn't sure why I knew who he was. I was not familiar with all his work. He has so much work, I can't believe I missed it."
When they got married, Arlene was 40 years old, and Dick was 86. While Arelene doesn't have any children of her own, she's stepmother to Dick's children, Barry, Stacy, Carrie Beth, and Christian.
