Bhubaneswar: The Special OTET was held in 193 exam centres across Odisha on Saturday. The Board of Secondary Education (BSE) made all the necessary arrangements for the mandatory test.
Notably, it has been made mandatory for all working teachers in the state to clear the Teacher Eligibility Test. The Supreme Court has made TET mandatory for teachers across the country.
As per the information, 75,403 teachers reportedly appeared for the special OTET examination tomorrow in 193 exam centres of the state.
There are two papers in the examination. The first paper was held from 9 am to 11.30 am and the second paper from 2 pm to 4.30 pm.
Ahead of that the BSE had written a letter to the authorities to make arrangement and ensure 24-hour power supply in the exam centres. This has been done keeping the present weather condition of Odisha in view.
As low pressure and heavy rain continued across the state, the Board had written to all district education officers for 24-hour power supply at the examination centers. CCTV had been installed in all the examination centers, and the board has an integrated command control room.
Through this control room, the board officials could inspect all the examination centers from the board.
Earlier, this examination was to be held on July 20, but the test was suddenly cancelled after the question paper went viral the night before the examination
