Eczema is a common condition in babies and children, and at times, the sleepless nights and endless itching and trialling of various treatments can feel relentless. But parents who ‘tried everything’ have finally found a product that clears flare-ups in ‘days’.
According to the NHS, it’s not always known what causes eczema, but a parent having eczema, asthma or hayfever could lead to a child having the condition. There is ‘no cure’ for eczema, but applying moisturising treatments at least twice a day can help improve the itchy skin.
One such cream that mums have hailed as ‘a miracle in a bottle’ is Grahams Natural Alternatives Baby Eczema Cream. Priced at £19.99 per tube, the moisturiser is ‘clinically proven’ to gently care for babies' delicate skin affected by eczema.

The non-steroidal, fragrance-free formula uses three natural and effective key ingredients to help alleviate irritation, reduce redness and calm itching. Colloidal oatmeal is an anti-inflammatory and helps retain moisture, while shea butter strengthens the skin barrier. Meanwhile, jojoba oil mimics the skin's natural sebum to increase skin hydration.
The moisturiser is said to offer gentle yet effective relief from flare-ups, promoting comfort and restoring balance to sensitive skin. The brand recommends using it two to three times a day to form a protective film on the skin, defending it against environmental irritants and allergens, which can cause skin to flare up.
There are other eczema-targeting formulas on the market, though. A popular one is Skin Salvation from Balmonds, which is touted as an award-winning natural eczema balm that soothes, shields and moisturises dry and itchy skin. It addresses the symptoms of eczema and psoriasis, contains no fragrances, synthetics or paraffin, and is endorsed by dermatologists and paediatricians.
There’s also the Nursem Ultra Caring Body Balm, which is £30. The fragrance-free formula is enriched with colloidal oatmeal that has a soothing effect on the skin, helping to calm soreness. Ideal for eczema-prone skin, the Nursem Ultra Caring Body Balm is suitable for any skin type.
But Grahams Natural Alternatives has been generating rave reviews from parents who tried it in a bid to soothe their children’s skin. One mum shared how, in six days, her little girl’s red, inflamed skin calmed dramatically. She said: “It’s honestly a miracle in a bottle and I’m so thankful and grateful to have come across this brand.
“Many sleepless nights scratching herself raw, infections, countless doctor visits, creams - just a relief to find something that’s working for my child.”

Founders Shannon and Geoff Graham say that stories like this are the reason Grahams Natural Alternatives exists. Over 20 years ago, the couple were living the same nightmare with their own son, Ryan.
Suffering from severe eczema as a baby, Ryan’s skin was covered in painful flare-ups, and the only options offered were steroid creams. Determined to find a safer, more natural solution, they began developing remedies in their own kitchen.
Since then, the Baby Eczema Cream has racked up a 4.58 star rating out of 5. One parent said: “The only cream to completely clear up my sons eczema, does a better job than his steroid prescription.”
Another added: “I had tried every eczema steroid from the doctors, and it was all just harming his skin more. This has cleared his whole body in nearly five days. I can't thank you enough. It's worth every penny.”
Of course, no product is a universal solution, and a few parents note that it hasn’t made a difference for their children. One said: “Hasn’t really made much difference to my son’s skin. I waited a long time for delivery to UK and really hoped it would be worth the wait. I wouldn’t purchase again but maybe it’s not the right product for him.”
“Amazing lotion,” wrote another. “I have tried everything, and this is the only lotion that has helped my son’s skin. It was instantly smoother and all his bumps were gone within a week.”
A fifth said: “One of the best things ever. It is so great that my baby's skin is so smooth and soft, and she used to have bad eczema. It works like a miracle cream. I love it, and the smell is so great.”
