The car accident was just the latest scary incident for the family, as, earlier this year, they had to navigate their home being burned down during Southern California’s deadly Eaton fire in January.
The 41-year-old and her family were helped by their close friend and fellow actress Hilary Duff at the time, as Mandy explained how the fires impacted their life online.
She shared a video of a local building on fire and wrote: "I love you, Altadena. Grateful for my family and pets getting out last night before it was too late (and endless gratitude to friends for taking us in and bringing us clothes and blankets).”
She went on to say that she was ‘feeling numb’ and her children's school was ‘gone’. She explained: “Honestly, I’m in shock and feeling numb for all so many have lost, including my family. My children’s school is gone. Our favorite restaurants, leveled. So many friends and loved ones have lost everything too.”

While the family has been through some tough times this year, they have also managed to enjoy a more relaxing experience as they went on a stunning vacation to Nayarit, Mexico.
The Tangled singer gave fans a glimpse into her holiday online, where she shared snaps of delicious-looking food and picturesque scenery. More pictures were taken of their sweet family time as they all got together to capture memories on the blue sandy beaches.

The actress wrote in the caption: "Nothing beats a beach vacation with some of your besties. What an epic few days, @fspuntamita! We can’t wait to come back (Gus hasn’t stopped talking about it)!!"
Fans couldn’t help but comment on how stunning the holiday looked as one person wrote: “The best memories for you all to treasure”, while another said: “That’s beautiful. The ocean looked amazing and the kiddos having so much fun. They are adorable….”
A third chimed in: “Had our honeymoon there. Beautiful place with good surf! Looks like a great family trip!”
