New season jackets have landed at M&S and as a fashion writer I'm constantly on the lookout to see what will be the high-street retailer's next sell out design.
One of the retailer's checked jackets sold out super fast, and whilst the viral Waxed Look Checked Utility Jacket is still out of stock on the M&S website, there's a new checked offering that's landed online and already selling out in multiple sizes.
The £60 M&S Checked Collared Short Jacket features this season's hottest print, giving the country vibe a modern update thanks to the boxy structured fit and slightly exaggerated shoulders.

The jacket is already out of stock in sizes six, 18, 20, 22, and 24 online, but can still be shopped in UK sizes 8-16. As ever with M&S' stylish designs, we don't think this beauty will hang around for long, so it's worth shoppers who want to bag one being quick.
I headed to M&S to try on the jacket on for size, and see if it's a worthwhile addition to an autumn wardrobe. I prefer my jackets slightly boxy and oversized, so normally size up but I didn't need to in this option as it already felt slouchy.
Wearing my usual UK size 12, I tried the jacket on undone, though admittedly I'd probably wear this particular style done up as I like the statement look teamed with jeans or wide-leg trousers.
Other checked jackets available on the high street include New Look's Brown Checked Shacket which is new in and currently in stock in UK sizes 6-22. Retailing for £38, it will add a preppy touch to jeans or a skirt. Alternatively, at Nobody's Child, there's the Beige Check Frill Quilted Jacket that retails for £129.
Super chic for daytime, the M&S Checked Collared Short Jacket could also be dressed up for the evening, swapping out flats for a pointed heel or boot. It seems I'm not the only fan of the jacket either, as M&S shoppers have been raving about the checked cover-up online. The item currently only has five star reviews.
One fashion fan said: "Lovely jacket, feels nice to wear. Goes with a lot - in particular my new dark denim flares." Another wrote: "Lovely quality jacket, fits true to size, had lots of compliments from all age groups. Looks great with wide leg jeans."

One drawback with the jacket is that the print is quite dark and could potentially be difficult to style with anything that isn't neutral or burgundy for autumn. Some may also find the length a little awkward depending on height and preference.
Despite this, with its smart button through front and strap detail shoulders, it's not hard to see why shoppers love this elevated piece.
Another reviewer said: "I love the coat and the quality is great. The style is all in at the minute." I have to say I wholeheartedly agree with this review - the quality feels great for the price point. Overall, I'd say for shoppers who are in the market for a checked jacket it's worth heading to Marks & Spencer.
I also tried on the brand's new season Faux Fur Cow Print Trucker Jacketwhich retails for £70. This came up more fitted so I'd size up for a more oversized look. This is also selling out fast online with only UK sizes 6-12 left.
