Dog dumped inside box and ignored by hundreds is desperate for new home

Send Push

An adorable dog who was dumped inside a small box and left to perish in a deserted area is desperately searching for a new home. Little Louie, a crossbreed, was hours away from death without access to food or water when his rescuer heard his cries from inside a small box.

He was discovered alongside two others dogs, who would have suffered his same tragic fate if they were not found in time. Despite his rescue, the three-year-old dog continues to be ignored, as his rehoming advert has been seen by hundreds of people, but he is yet to receive a single application. A statement from his rescuers at Miracle's Mission said: "Louie was rescued from living in a small box with no food or water. He was crying all the time and was in a terrible state.

"He was also sharing this box with two other dogs! After some TLC Louie turned into a very sweet and energetic little dog.

"He really enjoys the company of people, dogs and even children. He has been up for adoption with the shelter for quite some time but there has been no interest in him, so they asked us to find a home in the UK."

But Louie isn't the only dog to have been brushed over by potential owners, as Miracle's Mission says there has been little interest in their small male dogs.

In a Facebook post, they said: "Sadly we have had no interest in these three little darlings! Hopefully now the summer is over people will turn their minds to adopting again. Please share to help them find homes!

"Please allow us to introduce Tiny Tim, Louie and Freddy. All are small male dogs looking for homes separately in the UK.

"They are all able bodied, in good health and good with people and dogs. All three are child tested and did well."

Commenting on their post, one user said: "Louie, Tiny Tim, and Freddy deserve a loving family. Their stories are heartbreaking but with the right people, they can have a happy ending."

Another user added: "How? They are cuties, surprised they haven't been snapped up already." A third user said: "I will have all three they are beautiful."

Miracle’s Mission is a UK registered animal welfare charity who work predominantly in the UK, Borneo and Egypt.

A statement reads: "Our mission is to provide a place of safety for animals in danger, to educate on the needs of neutering both pets and strays and to neuter stray dogs and cats to prevent the birth of more animals onto the streets.

"We also rehabilitate and rehome dogs in need, often with disabilities, from our UK rescue base."
