Asafoetida on Navel for Stomach Gas: Gas, bloating, or severe cramps in the stomach have become a common problem due to today's hectic lifestyle and poor eating habits. When indigestion or gas causes unbearable stomach pain, often no medication provides immediate relief. In such a situation, Dr. Priyanka Abhinav shared a centuries-old and extremely simple Ayurvedic recipe on social media that can provide relief in just 5-6 minutes.
This simple recipe is made with asafoetida, a powerful Indian kitchen spice, and pure ghee. Asafoetida is known in Ayurveda for its anti-flatulence and anti-inflammatory properties. When applied near the navel with warm ghee, the mixture is absorbed through the skin, instantly soothing the stomach nerves and helping to expel trapped gas.
According to Dr. Abhinav, this home remedy is so effective that it can relieve the unbearable pain of indigestion and gas in a very short time. It is safe for both children and adults.
To prepare this remedy, first, lightly heat one teaspoon of pure ghee. Add four pinches of asafoetida powder to the warm ghee and mix well to form a thick solution. This mixture activates the properties of asafoetida and prepares it for absorption into the skin.
To use this prepared solution, take a small cotton ball and soak it thoroughly in the mixture. Carefully place the soaked cotton ball directly inside the navel. The navel is the center point of the body, where this remedy works most quickly.
After placing the cotton ball in the navel, take the remaining solution on your fingers and apply it to the abdominal area around the navel, massaging gently. This massage distributes the properties of asafoetida into the upper abdominal skin, providing quick relief from gas-related cramps.
This remedy is effective for everyone, from children to the elderly, and is especially beneficial for relieving gas-related cramps in newborns. Asafoetida also controls acidity. This age-old Ayurvedic remedy is easy and safe to try for stomach problems.
