A recent Coldplay concert became the center of an unexpected internet sensation—not for the music, but due to a surprising encounter caught on camera. Andy Byron, the former CEO of the tech firm Astronomer, and the company’s Chief People Officer, Kristin Cabot, were seen sharing a moment that many interpreted as more personal than professional. The short clip, which quickly gained traction online, captured the duo in what seemed to be an awkwardly close interaction during the concert.

The video’s virality reached unexpected corners of the internet, eventually catching the attention of BTS member Jin. During the Anaheim stop of his ‘RUNSEOKJIN_EP.TOUR,’ Jin engaged in a fun game of charades with his fans. When the word “Coldplay” popped up on the screen, the crowd erupted in excitement. ARMY members began playfully reenacting the now-famous “hug and duck” gesture from the concert video, trying to clue Jin in.

At first, Jin appeared puzzled by their dramatic gestures but soon realized what they were referencing. Upon understanding, he couldn’t help but burst into laughter and joined the fun. With a mischievous grin, he mimicked the awkward embrace, jokingly asking, “Is it my bro?”—a clear nod to Coldplay’s lead vocalist, Chris Martin, with whom Jin shares a strong camaraderie following their musical collaboration in South Korea earlier this year.

Jin’s playful reenactment sent the audience into hysterics. Fans online immediately reacted, with one user wondering whether Jin was simply copying their gestures or was already in on the inside joke. Another comment took a more pointed tone, lamenting that the world’s biggest boy band now knows about the incident involving the CEO and expressing sympathy for the families affected by the controversy. Social media was soon overflowing with laughter, disbelief, and memes, with some netizens humorously questioning who exposed the video to Jin.

The video that caused this uproar showed Byron and Cabot being unexpectedly spotlighted on the concert's big screen. As the camera zoomed in, Cabot instinctively shielded her face and appeared visibly flustered. Viewers claimed she mouthed the words, “This is awkward,” further fueling online speculation.

Following the widespread attention and public scrutiny, reports confirmed that Andy Byron had stepped down from his executive role at Astronomer, marking an abrupt and very public end to his leadership amidst the controversy.
